LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT/DESIGNER

Location: Fort Payne, AL

We are seeking a Landscape Architect/Designer to perform landscape design functions on schedule while maintaining a high level of quality. Meet all design goals while maintaining budgeted profitability. Keep the Sales Director apprised of any changes or problems substantial for review. Maintain client communications conducive to promoting sales and long, lasting relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Produce landscape designs including construction, irrigation, planting, hardscape, water features, and conceptual design work within client budgets and on schedule

  • Maintain as built drawings for construction projects containing all close out documents

  • Maintain electronic records for proposals and change orders

  • Ensure all proposals meet minimum profitability requirements & are accurately estimated for time & materials

  • Establish schedules for delivery of proposals/plans or conceptual/estimated costs with the salesperson

  • Negotiate for the best pricing relations with vendors and have available all materials and/or material change orders required to perform projects prior to the change of project ownership to the production team

  • Communicating with the Operations Manager/Construction Division on all project problems relating to materials, specifications, & interpretation of work order instructions, etc

  • Provide training in areas of expertise to production teams

  • Represent Turf Tamer, Inc. with ethical conduct & the highest integrity

Requirements:

  • Able to compute more complex math problems

  • Have strong communication skills both verbal & written

  • Proficient with software programs; excel, outlook & word

  • Ability to work outdoors in various temperatures throughout the day

  • Meet physical/body position requirements as stated by the Americans with Disabilities Act Section 4.0

Education/Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture/Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture or related studies

  • Work related experience must be 1 year including large residential/commercial projects

  • Must have a valid driver license with acceptable driving record
