LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION TEAM LEADERS

Locations: Fort Payne & Huntsville, AL

Work will be performed at multiple work sites associated within the branch’s specific location. The Team Leader will work hands-on leading, managing, coaching, and being accountable for enhancement crews to ensure the highest level of quality service is being delivered to clients. This leader provides crews with direction, training, and support while working on-site with the crews. They are expected to lead by example & assist where needed to ensure all crew members are compliant with quality, efficiency, & safety standard procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with supervisor on scheduled jobs

  • Gather/prepare materials, load truck for the day’s task

  • Enter team’s times into phone

  • Direct, assist, transport, & supervise your team during activities that may include installation of lawns & flower beds, installation of landscape lighting, cleaning up work sites, installation of water features, installation of masonry stone & pavers, installation of retaining walls,

  • Assist with maintenance of seasonal services as needed, perform minor repairs & maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keeping

Requirements:

  • Meet physical/body position requirements as stated by the Americans with Disabilities Act Section 4.0

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds & to work outdoors in various temperatures throughout the day

  • Ability to work with & as a team & to complete tasks independently & take initiative

  • Ability to follow directions

Workday & Schedule:

  • Workdays & hours may vary depending on weather related conditions

  • Schedule will be a 5 day work week which may include weekends & holidays

  • A 30 min unpaid lunch break is required if the workday exceeds 6 hours, two 10-15 minute paid breaks will be provided as necessary

Compensation:

  • Overtime may be available, but not guaranteed

  • Pay will be received weekly

  • Transportation is provided for on the job travel

  • Paid time off is available to employees who qualify

Education/Experience & Skills:

  • No minimum education required

  • 2 years experience as a crew leader or relevant team leading

  • Growth possibilities within the company & on the job training provided.

  • Must have a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record
