LEE BUFFINGTON, Founder and President

Lee started Turf Tamer, while in high school, as a way to earn money for college. His lifelong ambition was to become a physician; however, after two years in college, a new passion developed for Lee - landscaping. In its second year, the company reached gross revenues of $200,000, and has continued to grow ever since. With more than 19 years of experience in sales, marketing, and business management Lee has successfully grown multiple companies into sustainable models for the future. Those companies include JLB Media Group, LLC, an outdoor advertising company; JLB, Inc., a management company, and of course his true passion for the landscaping industry, Turf Tamer, Inc. The measures of success across all our brands are integrity and customer service. Lee consistently talks with his teams about these pillars which are the foundation to Turf Tamer’s success.

When Lee is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Crystal, daughter, Hannah, and two sons, Jon Parker and Patrick. He enjoys playing ball with the kids, hunting, fishing, and spending time on the lake with the family. Lee has been an avid instrument rated pilot for years and enjoys his time in the air.
