OPERATIONS MANAGERS

Locations: Fort Payne & Huntsville, AL & Chattanooga, TN

We are seeking individuals who will be hands-on in leading, managing, coaching & being accountable for landscape maintenance crews associated within the branch’s specific location. The Operations Manager will ensure the highest level of quality service is being delivered.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Effectively utilizes the timekeeping system and supports crew leader and members through training and utilizing the company software (Aspire)

  • Works with crew leaders & members to ensure correct quantity and acceptable quality of tools & materials are available for each job

  • Ensures that budgeted production hours are understood for each job. Train, coach and support the Quality, Efficiency and Safety Initiative with each member and provides for crew leaders to become more involved in these processes through constructive feedback and involvement.

  • Working with Branch Manager to develop & maintain schedules, completion timelines, equipment & man-power requirements while providing support as needed to successfully complete enhancement and installation work orders

  • Actively participate in any designated task time studies-providing input for efficiency improvements, strategy meetings targeted toward improvement

  • Ensure disciplinary action is initiated & documented properly & timely when necessary & ensure proper training and inspections are performed, times are correctly entered, receipts and paperwork turned in timely

Requirements:

  • Must possess a positive & professional working attitude & the ability to handle highly sensitive clients in a respectful & professional matter

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills & attention to detail

  • Ability to work well under pressure & handle a high-volume, fast paced multitasking environment

  • Strong work ethic & belief in personal accountability

  • Must have a valid driver license

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, to work outdoors in various temperatures throughout the day & to work with and as a team

  • Ability to complete tasks independently & take initiative, ability to follow directions

Workday & Schedule:

  • Workdays & hours may vary depending on weather related conditions

  • Schedule will be a 5 day work week which may include weekends and holidays

  • A 30 min unpaid lunch break is required if the workday exceeds 6 hours, two 10-15 minute paid breaks will be provided as necessary

Compensation:

  • Overtime may be available, but not guaranteed

  • Pay will be received weekly 

  • Transportation is provided for on the job travel

  • Paid time off is available to employees who qualify

Education & Experience:

  • No minimum education required

  • 2 years experience as a crew leader or relevant team leading

  • Growth possibilities within the company & on the job training provided
